F.A.Q

What are the main attraction that are covered in this trip?

Lachen, Lachung, Gurudongmar Lake and Yumthang Valley will be the main attraction for this trip. Also in the package, we are offering Kalapatthar and Zero Point which is generally excluded in other packages.

Can this trip be customized?

Obviously. It can be customized based on client's requirement. Spots can be added or deleted. But in that case the day wise itinerary will be different.

What actions I have to take for this trip?

Few things to expect from this trip and they are mentioned below-

  1. Being a very remote location, road conditions are not very good. So, the long drives will be tiring. But once u reach the destination, the serene beauty will make you forget the fatigue of the body.
  2. This is specially for day 3. The altitude of Lachen is approx 8800 ft. From here you will start your journey towards Gurudongmar lake. We will start early in the morning (preferrably by 05:00 AM based on driver's guidance and local authority permission), and it will take another 3-4 hour to reach the mighty Gurudongmar. The altitude of Lake Gurudongmar is 17800 ft. So, as you have travelled only 4 hour and doubled the altitude, so you may feel so uneasiness in breathing, some dizziness or headache. Don't worry. Once you reach there, do not jump, do not shout, do not run, do not walk fast. Move slow, sit at the side of the lake. You will be fine.
  3. During this trip, specially on day 2 we strongly recommend not to consume alcohol. For smokers (I am one myself and it is applicable for me also) if you can quit prior one week, it will be better and you will be enjoy this one in a life time trip even more.
What special gear I have to carry for this trip?

North Sikkim being one of the remotest area in India, the road condition and weather can be very unpredictable. Carry your normal medicine, warm jackets, and Umbrella/Rain Coat/Rain Poncho on this trip. Also carry a good shoe with tight grip. Please do not wander around in slippers when you are outside.

What is the mobile network connectivity over there?

Lachen and Lachung have fair enough network connectivity. For other places network connectivity is poor. Expect delay in response or interrupted phone call while you are there.
